Back in 2003 after a visit to the V&A and having been mesmerised by the beautiful Qajar oil paintings , 'Two Female Acrobats', I decided that I would love to have such a painting on my walls.

Naturally as a young dentist this was beyond my financial means. So I got to thinking, "why don't I have a go at painting one for myself ?" And so with a bucket load of enthusiasm and absolutely no experience in painting, I found a studio and started experimenting and painting in oils...The series you see here starts with my first  painting , To Life, working up  to the more recent works. I hope you notice some improvement ?!
